Your Low Voter Rate Makes Kitty Sad
OK so I lost the Seattle Metroblogs Blarch Badness contest to the UW Huskies fan “Dawg Blawg”and Bus Chick. The final score was 64 and 27 to 22 with a vote difference of 42 between the two sites. However they have a distinct position permanently above the fold on the Seattle PI reader blog page and so they sort of get more of a dedicated eyeball advertising budget. Also there is not that many blogs out there dedicated to talking about the Huskies and there are countless thousands ranting about video games. Seattle also has a pretty awesome buss system. At least that is the spin angle that I am going with at this point.
It is also appropriate to point out that pawn shops in the U District are one of my favorite places to go and buy used classic video games.
I did have a higher vote total than Art to Go and Ear Candy thusly we can determine.
Seattle Loves == (College Football > Public Transportation > Video Games > Hipster Music > Fine Art )
However according to my tracking software there was over 260 reader on the main page of 8bitjoystick.com today and so that means a voter turnout rate of only. 8.4%. You apathetic jerks. Your voter participation rate has greatly disturbed my kitty Ryu.
But that’s OK because I know I am still sort of Internet famous and at least my cats and weighted companion cube still loves me.
