You Down With OPML? Yeah You Know Me?
I thought it would be a cool thing to do to post and OPML file for all you dorks that are down with RSS readers. These are the feeds that I scan and read on daily basis.
Here is the link to my OPML file for my RSS reader.
Why is RSS not that simple? Why is "Easy Listening" music so damn hard to listen to? My favorite RSS readers are Mozilla Sage and NetNewsWire Lite.
Also here is a picture of two of my cats sitting on my laptop bag.

I don't get it... what is OPML good for (in a nutshell) please?

Let's say you have a newsreader with 50 RSS feeds. You get a new computer and you install a newsreader on your new computer. How are you going to get all those RSS feeds you subscribed to into the newsreader on your new PC? The answer is OPML. Think of it as a way to "backup" or "export" your big list of RSS feeds. You export to OPML, bring that onto your new PC, import the OPML into your newsreader, and there are your 50 subscribed feeds.
The cool thing is that the OPML file is XML, just like an RSS feed. So people (like Jake) can post their OPML file out on the Internet, and it's easy for other people to look at it and consume parts (or all) of it.
Thanks for the file Jake. If you're ever in the mood for another RSS app, check out RSS Bandit.

thanks, so basically it's an "export/interchange" means, ok, got that.
myself I simply do this (not so cool but very portable and always on):

Thanks for posting your OPML; I imported it to Sharpreader and made a few selections to keep.
Whenever I'm in Portland and listen to the public broadcasting there, I think of that song. You down with OPB?

The name of the song is "OPP". Also know as "other people's property", P*ssies or Penises.
