What I am playing 9/14/07

For the past couple weeks I've had to work overtime and on the weekends for about the past month. That has lead to some very long weeks and it's seriously cut into my game playing time and writing time. However I am making a serious effort to actually sit down and play some games and to actually write about them. At least now I know how I'll be able to afford all the good games that are about to come out towards the end of this year.

What I am playing

Skate on Xbox 360. Picking it up tomorrow

Blue Dragon on Xbox 360

Bioshock on Xbox 360

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption on Wii

Crazy Taxi Fare Wars on PSP

Daxter on PSP

Various XBLA arcade games with my pal BBQ. Such as :

Fatal Fury Special
TMNT 1989 Arcade
Super Puzzle Fighter
Street Fighter 2
Joust
Gauntlet

I am also trying to hunt down a video out cable for my new PSP but have had no luck so far.

I also need to get Drawn to Life on the Nintendo DS that is the super fun Nintendo DS demo that BBQ enjoyed at PAX.

I'm curious to hear your review of EA Skate. I just bought a 360 this past weekend and one of my reasons for doing so was so I could play Skate (and the new upcoming Tony Hawk game - though I think that's coming out for the Wii as well).

Have you played the other Tony Hawk games? I'm curious to hear your comparison if so. So far Skate feels more like a skateboarding simulation as opposed to some of the crazy stuff you can do in the Tony Hawk games. It's still fun and I definitely had a little "wow, this feels really different... but really good" moment while playing my first time.
