!W00t! The Xbox 360 December '06 Back Compat Update is now online
You can download it and burn it to a CD here. I just did. The full list of games now supported is here.
I am going to have fun starting Shenmue II, Destroy All Humans!, Psychonauts and Dead Or Alive Ultimate again in nice crisp emulated 1080i HDTV. I might go ahead and get a used copy of Soul Calibur 2 for Xbox since it now works. I have the Gamecube version that looks awesome in progressive scan on the Wii but this is HD damn it.

Unfortunately Soul Calibur 2 doesn't have widescreen support. Not that big of a deal but its still a bummer.
