Is Battle Royal on DVD? I've looked for it several times but I haven't been able to find it. Since Netflix doesn't have it, I assume it's VHS only?

My friend BBQ has a NTSC Region Zero DVD copy of Battle Royal : Special Edition that was released in Korea that has ok English subtitles.

There is no official US version of DVD or VHS. I think the UK got one but the US of A is way to high strung to have this flick at your typical Blockbuster video store. If you can find a fan subtitled version or a Japanese only version consider yourself lucky but the Region 0 Korean edition is the closest you will ever come to a copy of this movie.

I'm thinking of buying Battle Royale from amazon.co.uk; Euro DVDs work just fine if you've got a region-free player. There's no conflict with PAL or anything.

And I could be wrong, but isn't that movie named "Deadful Melody?" I remember it pretty clearly from the laughably awful Tai Seng trailer that came on the laughably awful New Mr. Vampire DVD.

If you're willing to risk eBay, that's where I've been getting most of my Asian DVDs. There are lots of sellers selling region 0/1, English-subbed DVDs at reasonable prices. Cavaet: Some sellers on eBay DO SELL bootlegs. Check their feedback first.

...for the most violent, screwed up Asian movie ever, check out Ichi the Killer. Whoever created this movie needs to be institutionalized.

Ok you are right I suck. The name of the Movie Is Deadful Melody and I have not seen it yet.
