The Most Awesomest Sega Saturn Ever!
Last week I took my girlfriend and her mom to our local Goodwill store cause they wanted to shop for cool retro clothes. I found one heck of a cool find in the electronics section. They had a Sega Saturn from 1995 that was obviously previously owned by some kid that pimped it out with some American flag supermarket vending machine stickers that only an little kid would think was cool. Now this is just slightly ironic since the Sega Saturn is about as Japanese as a tray of sushi and a Godzilla movie. It was missing a cover to the clock battery and it was pretty dusty.
The Saturn was only $10 and did not include any cables, controllers or games. It had a warning sticker that it hadn't been tested but it might be worth the risk to get a cool spare Sega Saturn. Now it is quite possible for a optical disc based game system to wear out over time so it might be a good idea to have a spare Sega Saturn around just in case I need it one of these years. My pal BBQ has worn out the drive motor in his PS2 and the drive motor in his NEC TurboDuo is temperamental. So it is not a bad idea to have a spare classic game system around just in case your system dies on you. BBQ has some awesome 2d Fighting games on the Saturn and I absolutely love the Sonic Team classic NiGHTS Into Dreams, I can't wait for the new Wii NiGHTS game. Once I got it home I hooked it up using my old Saturn cables and it worked perfectly. The clock battery was dead as a doornail and I was considering taking off the awesome stickers but I think it sort of gives it a special flavor.
Now if I could only find a copy of Burning Rangers without having to cash out some stock to afford it.

Awesome find mate. I'm not sure if the stickers make it any better though. ><

Nice find.
I had to resort to ebay to get my Saturn.

That's the most American Sega Saturn I've ever seen. You need to get a sticker of Hulk Hogan to make it complete.

Actually my Turbo Duo seems to be fine, but the start button on the main controller is a bit flaky. Also, the first Genesis and the first Gamecube that I bought were both defective. And my SNES just died one day. And don't forget the incident with the controller of doom that busted my Dreamcast. Oh it's a rough life! There's Gremlins in those machines I say!

I got my Saturn from Goodwill as well. Picked it up with two controllers, a/c adapter and RF adapter for $5.
