The Financial Impact of Xbox Live and Kitty Litter
I realized something last night while I was changing the kitty litter in the boxes for my girlfriend's six cats. It takes four 25 pound bags of litter to fill up their boxes. At $5 a bag that comes out to $20 a litter changes. We change the box litter every other week so that's about $45 a month on kitty litter rounded up before sales tax.

I was feeling a little guilty about getting DSL and a subscription to Xbox Live.
But my DSL subscription is $32 a month plus $60 a year for an Xbox Live Gold subscription so that works out to $37 a month. It is still cheaper than getting a cable TV subscription and spending your time watching TV shows.
So every month I spend more money on kitty litter than on high-speed internet and Xbox Live. So I don't feel so bad about spending my nights plugged into Xbox Live.
The way I look at it Major Nelson owes me a Xbox Live headset and a bag of kitty litter.
