That is A Lot of Tasty Links!

Jimmy Dean Breakfast LinksAfter several hours of sorting bookmarks and links from different browsers and computers I have finished my own web portal.

I first got the idea to do this from Anita who was commenting on how she wrote about them a year ago.

I had a group of links in a side bar on my main page but it was a little chaotic and I felt guilty when I cleared out old links to make way for new one. So this way they are not all in one column and category but spaced out in appropriate categories. If I ever get really board I could sort them alphabetically but even I am not that anal.

This is just a collection of links that I use but if you have suggestions of sites to add to the portal let me know by posting a comment or writing me an email.

Now if you excuse me I have an appointment to ride my new bike up and down some hills and further kill the muscles in my legs.

Update: My cousin Gavin had a problem with the new portal and Netscape 6.0 so I convinced him to upgrade to Mozilla and all is right in the world.

So, basically, this "personal web portal" stuff is just your Favorites folder URLs pasted onto one screen?

Note from Jake: Basically that is the scope of it.
Oh what part of
"Comments with fake email and URLs will be deleted."
Don't you understand? You Covad DSL user you.

I've been compiling one of those for the past 2 years and it's hit over 170 links in 22 some catagories in 6 different languages. *sigh*

You should add my blog. You know you want to.

If you're looking for new sites, I'll throw in a plug for my online journal (which even has a PDA version available). My life tends to center around working for a newspaper and playing video games, so I could fit in.

You could add
http://blog.zmag.org/ttt/
Its a website called Turning the Tide and is the personal weblog of Noam Chomsky - one of America's foremost dissidents and interlectuals.
