Tasty Links for 11/16/06

Last night I went through my old plastic storage tubs full of old video game systems and got my Black Dreamcast of coolness out of storage and hooked it up to my new kick ass HDTV + Stereo system. It looked great. I had to find my big bag of Dreamcast VMU units and trying to remember where you were keeping the save file for a particular game can be a real pain in the ass. Did they ever make a S-Video cable for the Dreamcast? I would love to find one. I had a great time playing Jet Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi 2, Typing of the Dead and Soul Calibur last night.

I think Dreamcast had S-Video cables. I'd really like to get one, however if I were you, I'd try to find a VGA box to use full resolution with your lcd tv.

re: S-video cable for Dreamcast. Yes, they did make one. I picked up mine used at an EB Games. You might have some luck there or at Gamestop.

Cool there is a Dreamcast S-Video cable. After I posted that I did a Google search and found it at some lesser known online retailers. I'll have to order one.

>Well it does kick major ass and is doper than Halo

Yeah right up untill you realize that Gears of War was shipped with 3 Sev A bugs, and the game is totally scripted, to the point its sad that this game was even released. Play Gears of War and if you have any pattern recognition, and you know not totally retarded, you can see exactly that it has NO LOGIC. Try shooting in front of where enemies come out and see what happends.

Gears of War is doper that Halo. If you don't like to be challenged and are entertained by shiny objects rather than quality game play. Gears of War .. beat in 2 hours on Insane thanks to shoddy programming.

Jesus! Did Gears of War pee in your cornflakes?

No, my friend has been testing GoW for most of this year and I think its unfair to compare time tested quality to flash in the pan crap.

I promise, wait 6 weeks after Christmas. A few weeks after a majority of people really start playing solo & multiplayer campaigns you'll start to see the posts and re-reviews. It's still new a shiny and "can do no wrong" phase. But after the glitter phase passes people will start to notice the poor craftsmanship.

It's a very pretty game, but not a good game. Gears of War is the Trohpy Wife of the 360.

Well “Anonymous” your IP number is from a Microsoft related business so I can’t verify nor disprove your claims.

I have been playing GOW since it shipped and I really like it. I guess it is a matter of opinion. Sure it could benefit from a patch but from what I’ve read so can pretty much all of the PS3 launch titles. It is a game, not the cure for cancer and so far I am impressed by the vision and don’t see it as shoddy workmanship but the point of it is to be fun. So far I have not encountered any glitches and I hardly think general manager for EA Montreal is a non-biased source of critisism and I actually like the gameplay.

Well some of my bumper stickers were make out of date by the past election. “My Throw ‘em out Vote Democrat” since locally we don’t have any elected Republicans in my neck of the woods after the past election.
