Summer 07 Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility Update is out
Today Microsoft shipped a new version of the Original Xbox emulator for the Xbox 360 in an update over Xbox Live. I decided that after this update it is worth it to sell my original Xbox one to a local used game store and save the money for the new slim PSP and new games out this fall.
In this update the games of mine that now work are
Guilty Gear XX Reloaded (More 2d Fighting games over Xbox Live! Awesome)
Blinx 2 Master of Time and Space
Project GothAm Racing 2
Jet Set Radio Future (The version that was bundled with Sega GT 2002 and the Xbox one)
The King of Fighters 2003
The Xbox one games that I have that do not work on the 360 is small enough for me not to miss or my friend BBQ has them for his Japanese import enabled PS2, Specifically SNK Vs Capcom, SVC Chaos and Samurai Showdown V. I also have an import enabled PS2 so if I really want to play those again I'll borrow them from him.
The total Xbox One backwards compatibility list is here.
The list of Xbox one games that was added in this update are here.
I am going to have to get a copy of Mech Assault 2 and Evil Dead Regeneration now that they work on the 360.
But I think I am ready to say farewell to my old big black Xbox one. I don't really know what I'll do with the space that I'll now have on my entertainment center rack.
P.S. This weekend I'll write my big E3 summary post.

I just traded mine in at a local used video game shop, and I didn't get much at all. If you can throw in a couple of games, you might want to try selling it on Craigslist or something...
I think I got $40 for mine, and that was with 20% increased trade allowance from a promotion they were having at the time... :(

mod it, make it a home entertainment center, or play emulators on it.

I agree, an Xbox one is forever useful if you do this. It's the only reason I still use mine.
