Storms bad. Nintendo DS Good.
It looks like the powers that be at the phone company finally got around to repairing the phone lines to my neighborhood and my DSL. The town that I live was hit with a hurricane force storm and sinkholes from floodwaters destroyed the road ways leading to my place. We now have to do some creative out of the way detours and my girlfriend is not happy about it at all. I am just glad that we only lost power for one day and that our DSL is now back up.
In the power outage during from storm I had some TV shows for her to watch on my iPod and notebook and I played Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney on my Nintendo DS in the dark and cold. Storms are no fun, I am just glad that I had my Nintendo DS charged to keep me sane in the dark.
