Spiffy Retro-Style GamePads and KOF 2002 DC !

Hori Snes Style GC GamepadI wish they would release these controllers here in the States. The Japanese accessory company has made a Super Nintendo / Super Famicom style gamepads to be used on the Gamecube and the the Gameboy Player. This is a very cool retro-style controller and I might pick one up the next time I order an import game. Or I could just use the PS2 to Gamecube adaptor to play GBA game with a Sony DualShock. That would work but these are old school!

Guess what? King of Fighters 2002 is coming to Dreamcast this summer! Woohoo! This means I get a home version of the game without having to blow my saving account on an actual Neo-Geo arcade system. Sure I am probably the only one who is excited about a dying game genre on a twelve year old arcade system ported to a dead game platform but what the hell.

Well that's what that kid was talking about when he called my store. I thought he had been dipping into his dad's private stash! I am definitely feeling the retro look of the controller. I would buy one if it came to the states, no doubt about it.

Well they are only $20 from the import store and they are 1,500 yen in Japan so that is fair.

Sucks that that picture on IGN and your blog an an illustration, not a photo. Hopefully the real ones will look the same.
