This makes me retch. Some son of a bitch spammer created about 50 blogs in free hosting sites and registered them on the MIT blogdex. Then he put a link to his spam scam on all of them. And he was rocketed to the top of the listing. This is lame and I am going to be emailing the team who runs the Blogdex about this abuse of the system.
Why hasn't people really looked at spammers as one of the reasons ecommerce is failing.
Update:Ok it looks like they are real blogs that are hosted on a free hosting service and they have banner ads that include HTML links to this CD club scam thing. So if they are all tracked by the Blogdex the most common banner ads will be registered and rated not what they are actually talking about. That sucks. The Blogdex engine can't separate the ad banner pitch from the real content that they author is talking about.
