Shoutout to Valve Software
Calvin Coolidge . I checked out my unique visitor stats today and I noticed that I had a reader from 207.173.178.169 with MSIE 6 Windows XP and I did a look up and it is at Valve Software. This is the legendary and local development house that is responsible for Half Life and Counter Strike and some one there was checking out my stupid little web site that is damn nifty. Well if you are still reading this Gordon Freeman is a huge role module to me.
I notice that I have a steady reader from Getty Images ( 206.28.72.1 MSIE 5 Windows 2000 ). Another local company and I used to live near their office in Fremont district of Seattle. Hi and I am not stealing your images.

Hey there, don't you recognize me from the blogger meet-up last night? (Nick)
Anyways, after the discussion last night I thought your website sounded interesting so I popped by to check it out. Great job! Everyone at the meet up last night has such great looking web-sites, and web design skill... It's very humbling.

Well I am a web designer/illustrator (Still working thank God)who has been wanting to work in a video game art department since I was a little kid. Wow Valve! So were you the guy sitting one over from me who didn't have a blog? So what do you do at Valve?

> I must have missed it if you mentioned you worked at Valve.
Nah, I didn't mention it. Conversations tend to get boring when I do, and it also tends to overinflate my Ego. =)

Well, we're not really in hiring mode at the moment, but I'll be sure to bug you to submit a CV next time we are looking to hire artists. =) Are you freelance?

Yep that was me. I was really there to support my woman ( tyd ), and to learn a bit more about the whole blogging thing. I'm thinking of starting a blog myself, once I get work on my new book rolling. I have a whole lot to learn about web design though, I can barely even match my clothes, much less put together a compelling webpage.

Well, I'm a senior programmer here. Unfortunately the primary title I'm working on hasn't been officially announced yet, so my NDA prevents me from saying too much about it. My main job is doing a lot of the core graphics engine work and optimization on Valve's new engine, of course with a healthy dose of gameplay programming.
So how long have you been running your site? Do you get any interesting interviews?
