Review : Voodoo Pad for Mac OSX

Voodoo Pad Icon.jpg Voodoo Pad is a pretty cool personal Wiki for nerds who want to create their own personal linked hypertext mind dumps. It is pretty cool and I think it might help me out with my Blog writing.

A wiki is a repository for interactive hypertext that is easily updated and is automatically linked. They make wonderful encyclopedia and they encourage group cooperation.

Voodoo pad is designed to be a personal Wiki that one can use to organize a wide variety of topic and information quickly and then publish them in HTML if so desired. It is sort of a decedent of other personal hypertext creations like Hypercard.

It is one of the interesting Mac OSX only programs that I wanted to try out on my new iBook.

I really have not had a whole lot of time to write into this program but I can tell that it will be a lot of fun. This weekend I am going to register my copy.

Here is a link to my exported Voodoo Pad file in HTML.

VoodooPad is a new kind of notepad. It's like having your own digital junk drawer, where you can jot down notes, web addresses, to-do lists... Anything on your mind. VoodooPad automatically links each page together, to form a miniature world wide web, on your desktop! Anybody familiar with the WikiWikiWeb will feel right at home with VoodooPad.

Type in your notes, and highlight important words or phrases to create new pages; or drag and drop folders, images, applications, or URLs into VoodooPad - they're linked up whenever the word representing it is found.

OS X comes packaged with a new version of Stickies. You have to check that out. I almost always have it running. It's great for quick thoughts and quick to do that will be done too quick to put in iCal. But now I checked out VooDoo, thanks to your advice, and I must say its great. Although I still love stickies.

oh I used Stickies back in with Mac System 7.5. Voodoo Pad is your own personal hypertext database. I like it.

Thanks for the review of VoodooPad. I am considering buying it (and I have only been using it since last night). I am trying to figure out if there are any other programs like it that are better and I ended up here. By the way, I noticed you are from Bremerton, rock on, kind of. I am from Port Orchard.

Voodoo Pad's export to iPod freaking rocks. It is my favorite way to store information on my iPod.
