This game kicks large quantities of ass.
You might think that Yu Suzuki might have forgotten how to make a kick ass fighting game since making the ambient gaming epic that is Shenmue and Shenmue 2.

The combos make sense. Most fighting games have a string of buttons to press and they don"t have anything to do with what the move actually is. In VF4, you can pretty much tell what you will be pulling off just by looking at the instruction manual. The sheer amount of combos is incredible, with each player having about the same amount around 100 or more moves per character or so.

The characters look kick ass, and their animations are virtually flawless no pun intended. The arenas look and feel great. Effects--such as footprints left in the snow and VERY realistic water--are top-notch. This game really shows off the power of the PS2 and actually has some better visuals than Dead or Alive 3 for Das X Boxen.

I have loved every VF game including VF Kids on the Saturn but that is not the point
VF4 is by far, one of the best 3d fighting games ever. If you have PS2 and you want to try an alternative to Capcom and SNK fighting games go out and buy this game. PAY FULL PRICE IT IS WORTH IT.
Sega hasn’t dropped the ball when they dropped the Dreamcast. There is a reason this game is worshiped in Japan
I give this game a very rare 10 out of 10

How can you give it a 10 when there are clearly superior games out there like Kileak: The DNA Imperative and Deadly Towers?? All you do in Virtua Fighter is punch and kick. Kileak has vast corridors to explore and multiple laser guns! Can you shoot swords from your crotch to destroy beach balls in Virtua Fighter? I didn't think so!
So where is your Review of Deadly Towers?
