Review : Sprite : Tropical Remix
On Friday I took the ferry over to Seattle and visited BBQ at work. It was my task to deliver the Xbox of dopeness and girth to his hands so that he may borrow it for a week and enjoy the revised and Xboxified version of the Godzilla Gamecube game.
The shear dopiness of the Xbox was like a lead brick in my back pack and so I was parched and sweating like a whore in church when I arrived at the place of video rental. So I neededa new drink and there was a new soda pop to try.
Alas the marketing geniuses at CocaCola had decided to make Sprite : Tropical Remix. It is a new drink as an off shoot of Sprite. This is a lot like Pepsi Blue where the chemical changes are minor and the marketing of t he product can then re-target the youth market.
One thing that gets me is that there is No Caffeine in it just extreme dopeness. It is basically sugar water and carbonation with no memorable taste. It is a little fruity done with chemicals and the drink has no juice added. There is nothing quality but the quality of the hypocritical Xbox bling bling marketing bullshit.
Sprite : Tropical Remix is decadent and moronic at the same time. Not even so bad that it is ironically good but just bad and dumb. And I am not the only one who thinks so.

Tried the orange Mountain Dew Live Wire yet?...Don't. It almost killed Matt... and you may recall he's known for ingesting large amounts of caffeine.
He hasn't had any caffeine since (that was a week or so ago). So consider this a warning...

hmmmm...well, i'm all for new sodas but unless it comes in diet, it's not likely i will drink it...
you should've seen how happy i was when i saw cherry coke in diet...mmmmmmm...:D

I wanna try MD Live Wire. The sweet shop in town sells Code Red, but I don't drink it that much.

I will never stray from what I know... Both this Sprite Remix crap and Dr Pepper Red Fusion are booty in a bottle. I'm gonna stick with Dr Pepper besides it goes better with rum than Coke.. unless it's Captain Morgan.. that should definitly be consumed with Coke and not Dr Pepper unless you enjoy a spicy festival dancing across your tongue and down your trachea.

Thanks for the link :) When are they gonna make a new *good* soda, dammit? I haven't been impressed with anything anybody has come out with lately. This includes juices/sports drinks/etc. I've been sticking with water a lot.

I agree with Pete. Vanilla Coke is good and Dr Pepper is a classic. I have not tried they new MT Dew yet because I am not crazy about the regulaR mt dew

I tryed the Code Red MD when it first came out thinking, "Well, it cant' be worse than the regular stuff." Boy-oh-boy was I wrong, I took one swallow and almost spit it out. It tasted like someone had carbonated the concentrated cherry syrup used in the makeing of Mr. Misty's over at Dairy Queen. nasty nasty nasty.

Yess!!!! Jones Soda!!! They are the king of artificaly flavored carbonated soft drinks!! If you haven't had it, try it! But not the "Blue Bubble gum" as one friend of mine put it, "It tastes like that bubble gum flavored mouth wash you'd have as a kid, I didn't know if I should spit it out or swallow it." But if you ignore that flavor, the rest are goooooood!!!

I think Sprite Remix is the worst off-shoot of any soda I have seen...well, except maybe Pepsi Blue. I'll have to think on that one.

i like pepsi blue and sprite remix...taste like skittles. me and my friends call them liquid skittles...well not so much pepsi blue...vanilla coke is really good! i get jones soda...its great.

ok, i'm baaaaaaaack...i tried the sprite remix and i really liked it...it was tasty, fruity but not too sugary...
haven't tried the new mt dew yet, but that's next on the list...the reg mt dew is "ok", but i simply looooooove the mt dew "code red" or whatever they call it...very tasty...
oh, and my fave of all time is dr. pepper...after that, cherry coke, pepsi twist, pepsi, vanilla coke, sprite, then maybe gingerale...i really love gingerale...(all of the above in diet)
just thought i'd mention it...;)

You Americans don't know how good you've got it in New Zealand there's no dr pepper,sprite re-mix,code red...etc and cherry coke was out for like 6 months in the mid 90's i mean god give us somthing!

I must be the only person who really likes Sprite Tropical Remix. I am also having a hard time finding it. I am attempting to figure out if it is popular here and is sold out or if they are going to quit making it. The Berryclear version is okay but I like the Tropical version the best!
