This is one of the truly great 16 bit joysticks and should be studied as an example of a good ergonomic design. This stick came out around the same time as the Sega Genesis and let me tell you coming from years of being an arcade company Sega know their shit when it comes to designing a good joystick. Do you see the hand rest to the left of the stick? That is so damn comfortable it is like a lazy boy for your hands. The lights also flash and light to show you the speed of he adjustable turbo.
I guess one of the down sides is that is before Sega switched to six buttons but only 4 games actually used 6 buttons so I really wouldn't care about that for my Sega Genesis game playing needs.
It is not super rare but you would have to check to find one of these.

I think this stick should be shoved repeatedly up the ass of whoever designed the first Xbox controller. It would be educational for them.

i just took it apart to try to figure HOW to make this silly $2.99 goodwill toy work like a real arcade stick...
faulty name i say! my little dremel and i are gonna do some good old fashioned Grinding on this puppy.... make that plastic peg inside less tall, maybe free up the lateral / vertical movements a bit...
any suggestions out there?

as you have noticed that many people are desperate for a sonic and shadow the hedegehog movie,if you do intend on making the movie it will should be a long movie because i could watch it all day long. the story line could be that shadow just found out that he had amnesia and he is planning to get revenge on whoever did this to him. he thinks sonic did it so he tracks him down just to realise in the middle of a fight that they have a common enemy. and together they work to desimate eggman...
This was and still is my favorite joystick of all time, if only the joystick manufacturers would realize that this is exacty how a joystick should be made.
I spent hours using that joystick on every game I had for the Genesis.
Damn I miss that joystick.
