Review : Rickey’s World Famous Chicken Wing Sauce

DSC01294

On Saturday my pal BBQ gave me a bottle of Rickey’s World Famous Chicken Wing Sauce. This is video game champion Billy Mitchell brand of hot sauce and he has created what can only be described as a hot sauce empire that is renowned over the world.

We had a blast with the movie King of Kong : A Fist Full of Quarters and we are both Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe fans. We can only hope that one day they might actually make a Wii game based on this movie that has a Donkey Kong tournament with online ranking and an RPG mode that would switch between Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell. Hundreds of movies have been made into games and this is one movie that really deserves it’s own game. If you have not seen the movie yet, go get the DVD or rent in on Xbox Live.

Now back to the sauce. BBQ ordered it from Florida and liked it so much that that he could not control himself around the bottle that he was going to give me. BBQ is a passionate hot sauce aficionado to the point that he goes by the nick name “BBQ” or “Q” for short and he ended up married to a girl from Thailand who knows a thing about spicy cooking.

We had some chicken nuggets with a side of sauce and I can honestly say that is was hands down the best wing sauce that I have ever had. It is bold, rich with a spicy flavor that is not too hot but still full of heat. It has an extra thick and buttery flavor, a wonderful after taste and a distinct orange red color. The sauce like Billy is made in the USA and is 100% awesome.

The ingredients are simple but it’s brewed with a level of attention that only the man who has gotten a perfect score on all 256 screens of Pac-Man can make. This is the sauce that puts food on Billy Mitchell’s table. I might have to buy other brands only because there are no store that sells this in Washington state but I will know that other hot wing sauce that passes my lips is just not going to stack up the the sheer awesomeness of Billy’s sauce. OK screw it. I am going to take a stand and will swear that I will never buy another brand of hot wing sauce for as long as I live. I am going to be ordering more tomorrow and I don’t know if I am going to open this bottle or keep it next to my Xbox to give me some extra Billy Mitchell video game mojo so I can take the Pac-Man Champion Edition record from BBQ someday.

He who controls the spice controls the universe.

I can't believe you would come away from that movie with anything other than disgust for such an undiluted egomaniac. I know the editing was biased, but having seen him elsewhere and read interviews, I'm pretty happy to call Billy Mitchell an unbearable, detestable prick. The delusions of grandeur he suffers from are astronomical. His persona is repulsive. How could you possibly be a "fan" of any of that?

Yeah actually I'm going to take a stand too, and delete this site from my RSS feed. Fuck knows why I didn't do it sooner, between this sort of crap and the "ooh I'm an insider" xbox rumour mongering.

I am also a fan of Darth Vader. He was the black Hitler of space.

I am a fan of both Billy and Steve and they are both mindblowing players. ANYONE that can play Donkey Kong for more than three hours on one quarter gets props in my book
