RC Pro Am was the first racing game that was actually fun to me and I actually enjoyed playing. This game was Mario Kart before Mario Kart existed.

Instead of a psudo 3d engine you controlled the car turning and acceleration almost like a real remote control racing car. The physics are good and the game play is killer. This is the first racing game that I can remember where you can pick up power-ups that are along the track and use them to blow up your opponents. The graphics are damn good for a early NES game and this was a great first hit for Rare. This is yet another 8-bit game deserving to be resurrected on the GameBoy Advance. The control can be learned in a few secs but it can take some real skills to get really good at this game. This game is Fun with a capital F and is a brilliant example of how you can fit maximum fun into a small file size.

I give it a 8 out of 10

Do the levels ever stop?!
I don't think so but I am not 100% sure
I played the game for three weeks straight once and found that after a certain point, you get the same race tracks, but the computer controlled cars are insanely fast.... almost impossible to beat,
anyway, hope that helps
yo guys sorry to send some bad news but i got to level 62 before i gave up. the levels end up repeating themselves and you can't really get any farther on in the game. it sucked and i got really annoyed that i finally shut it off. hope that answers the questions.
this series was great (series being that theres a 1 and 2)
but i honestly think the micro machines series is better. ive never played a micro machines game and not loved every second.
plus, you actually race on "giant" leaves and rocks and stuff. you really feel like you are a tiny car in a huge world, you know?
i never got that feeling from RC pro am. maybe because the RC cars are bigger than the trees...
anyhow, the gameboy MMs and the one for 62 (V2 turbo, or something like that) are great games. TONS of interesting tracks, helicopters, monster trucks, speed boats, F1 cars, etc. check em out.
RC PRO AM was the Greatest game for the NES. I played it for hours on end when I was coming up. EXCITE BIKE came in second for me, or how about SKATE OR DIE
I was playing RC Pro-Am on Console Classix and I got to level 107. By the way, the levels start over after 24. Level 25 looks exactly like level 1, 26 looks exactly like 2, etc. In order to get as far as I did, you need to have a constant supply of ammo to shoot the other cars just as they pass you or get near you, so that you will stay ahead. They will keep bothering you trying to pass you until the end of the race. After level 99, the level number will not display properly. Level 100 is displayed as D6 on the start screen and RN during the race, for example. See how far you can get. Have fun trying!
