The tech book publisher Oreilly has a new book out called PSP Hacks by MC C.K. Sample, III.
PSP Hacks : Tips & Tools for Your Mobile Gaming and Entertainment Handheld
First Edition January 2006
Series: Hacks
ISBN: 0-596-10143-0
319 pages, $29.99 US, $41.99 CA, £20.99 UK
They sent me a copy fresh off the press. Now you might ask yourself why did they do this? Let me tell you. I wrote two hacks in it. That is right I was asked last year to modify two of my posts from this website and submit them to the most respected technology book publisher new book on the PSP. My articles How to Read Web Comics on a PlayStation Portable and How to throw a PSP Wifi LAN Party. Were updated and included in the book. Any nerd in the US and Canada can walk in to a decent book store and find this book with two articles written by me. How cool is that. I got a check for my contribution and you are only supporting my ego by buying the book.
This is the first time that I have actually seen the book and over the next couple days I look forward to reading it cover to cover. It actually looks like a pretty cool book about doing a whole bunch of nerdy things with a PSP that even I did not think of. Of course I am totally biased but it looks like a nifty book for any nerd with PSP that ever thought of doing un-factory approved thing to said PSP.
From the book description
With PSP Hacks, you can accomplish a whole lot more than good gaming on the PSP. You'll quickly learn to surf the Web with a PSP, chat in IRC, and use the PSP to read web comics, ebooks, and RSS feeds. Other expert tips and tools allow you to sync an address book to your PSP, watch UMD movies, fool iTunes into thinking the PSP is an iPod Shuffle, and much more.
