Review : Pibb Xtra
Today I felt like getting a soda pop from the vending machine and gave Pibb Xtra a try.
It ends up it is just like Mr. Pibb and Dr. Pepper but a bit more sweeter but not as much carbonation.
It looks like they tweaked the recipe for Coke's Dr. Pepper rip-off and dropped the "Mr." part and added the Xtra to make it more Xtreme and Xcelent.
I have to wonder how much money the Coca-Cola company wasted on the marketing executives salaries that came up with the name Pibb Xtra?
It is not really that extreme. I don't feel like doing xtreme action sports but it is making my bladder full. I have to wonder if peeing is now an "extreme sport".
How dare they invoke the "X" without making it black and green enough to be Xbox cool!! I doubt Anna would like Pibb Xtra to given her almost fanatical devotion to all things Dr Pepper.
This stuff still tastes like a Dr. Pepper rip-off because it still is. Pibb Xtra Suxx

sounds pretty awful to me...i love Dr. Pepper (or as i've been known to call it, "liquid crack"), and (Mr.)Pibb has always been a poor-ass imitation...PibbXtra...pfffsh...i scoff at the idea!! ::scoff:: ::scoff:: ::scoff:: ;)

The worst is ordering at a restaurant that doesn't serve my favorite sodas. It usually goes something like this:
Me: "I'll have a Diet Coke"
Server: "We have Diet Pepsi?"
Me: "No thanks, I'll take a Dr. Pepper instead"
Server: "Is Mr. Pibb okay?"
Me: *long sigh* "Bring me an icewater, please"
Actually, that's not really the worst. The worst is this Italian restaurant here in Dallas called Campisi's. They will actually bring you Mr. Pibb when you order Dr. Pepper. Without asking. That's just wrong.

Dublin isn't to far from Dallas. A girl I was dating a couple of years ago went there and brought me back some of the cane sugar Dr. Pepper for my birthday. It was like sweet nectar of the gods.

One thing that bugs me to no end is when I want a root beer and they reply "Im sorry, we don't serve root beer. Is Dr. Pepper/Mr. Pibb ok?"
No! No it's not "ok"! They don't even taste similar!

Commentary from the Dr Pepper Goddess! Pibb anything sucks ASS. BIG HUGE ASS! People that think that rootbeer is any kind of substitution for Dr Pepper is stupid and should be shot on sight. One of my favorite hangouts in Port Orchard has stopped serving Dr Pepper and I'm not sure that I can go there anymore. I feel betrayed and let down.
I have been working these awful 5:30am to 4pm shifts at work and I make a stop at Starbucks on my way to work and get a huge White Chocolate Mocha *and I wonder why my ass is so big...* HAHA! And then I stop at Safeway and I get a Dr Pepper. I finish the mocha and then I start the Dr Pepper and then to work where I continue to drink Dr Pepper. The other day I drank 5 20oz. Dr Peppers. I only survive on this planet because there is a seemingly endless supply of Dr Pepper to keep me going.

Personally I hate the amount of sugar (or rather simple carbohydrates of what type is what the economy dictates) in sodas today. When I drink one it feels like if i condensed a 12 oz cola I would get 13 oz of pure corn syrup.

Now diet sodas, there's a problem. I dare the staunchest Dr. Pepper supporter to attempt to defend Diet Dr. Pepper. Such vile poison. I'll die before I forgive that mislabeled vending machine.

I like Dr. Pepper but Pibb is hard to come by for me and when i get it... pepper can kiss my ass cause pibb is better.
