Japan is not the only country in Asia to make some funky canned coffees. Mr Brown Coffee started out as a Taiwanese Starbucks knock off but evolved into it own thing eventually. Run by the King Car Food Company in Taiwan Mr Brown coffee comes in a larger can than the 6.25.oz BOSS coffee.
They have the coolest looking logo of all time! MR BROWN IS YOUR NEW GOD! I love the cheesy stereotype European guy with his all white Italian suit and the thumbs up smile. Who needs Buddy Christ when there is Mr Brown? Make all the Reservoir Dogs jokes you can.
Mr.Brown Iced Coffee
Has a lingering after taste and is very milky as opposed to creamy. It also packs less calories than a can of pop. Also sports vanilla flavoring with a syrupy aftertaste. Wierd and funky, I just can't put my finger on it.
Mr.Brown Handhelling Coffee
Faint peppermint taste in a dark roast. Not sweet but it has an unexpected and unpleasent peppermint taste. "No sir, I didn't like it" said The Ren and Stimpy horse.

Mr Brown? That's sounds like Mr Asshole!
This azn bodega on the corner carries Mr Brown, but I've never picked it up. Sounds pretty funky, man. It's recommended, right?

MR. BROWN
Yeah, but Mr. Brown? That's too
close to Mr. Shit.
The regular stuff was decent. I would stear clear of the pepermint crap.
I like Mr. Brown better than the other canned coffees... my college roommate turned me on to those delicious little cans almost 10 years ago. :)
Man! i think that this coffee cant be identified by regular means. I would suggest using "mind waves" and a "catabolic filter" before drinking it. After all.....who knows what the GOVT. puts in the water used to manufacture it?
Wow. I had some of this in London a year and a half ago. That's a flashback. (It was like bitter chocolate milk. I was unimpressed.)
The trick would be to find the Nescafe instant HOT coffee cans that I had once over there. You shook the can and pushed in a plastic button on the bottom of the can, and some sort of reaction heated up an inner can with the coffee in it. Voila! Hot coffee, anytime, in a can.
Well there are some flavors that are better than others. Not like I have any problem with Iced coffee if it is done right but I have yet to have any Nescafe products that were pleasurable to drink
I'm always up for trying something new, so I grabbed a can of the regular Mr. Brown at the Hy-Vee. Compared to the only other canned iced coffee sold in this area(Starbuck's Doubleshot Espresso), I gotta say I like Brown better. Tastes more like actual coffee instead of coffee-flavored milk like the other crap, and at more than half the price(75 cents versus 2 bucks) you get a much bigger can.
That logo looks more to me like a Colombian drug lord than anything. And who knows coffee better than people that smuggle drugs in it?
I am down with Mr. Brown.
Mr. brown is the best coffee ever!
One of my favorite things as a child was driving down to the Asian grocery store with my mom to buy some Mr. Brown coffee (of course, now you can find it at many large supermarkets). The flavor is almost perfect, not too bitter and definitely not too sweet, unlike Frappucinos or most Vietnamese iced coffees.
And unless Starbucks busted out of Washington much earlier than I remember, I don't think it's fair to call Mr. Brown a Starbucks knockoff, since it's been around for at least the mid-1980s.
I beg your pardon for my last sentence, which I inadvertently edited into nonsense.
Really I had no idea how long they have been around for but their picture of their coffee bars do look a bit like Starbucks
were in england can you by "Nescafe instant HOT coffee cans" i had one from waitrose last year if you no were i can get them you are good
Thanks
OH MY GOD!
I just love Mr. Brown soooooo much.. I love him with all my heart, my body and even my pee-pee... When I saw a can of this sweet brown odorant liquid, I almost crapped my pants for good!
OMFG, I think i'm gonna pleasure-puke, it's so dreamy and intense... I love Mr. brown so much I even have an empty can on my screen, as a trophy of his all-mighty and infinite glory!
Thanks Mr. Brown, you are the joy of our lives!
Mr. Brown is LORD!
Actually I picked up some Mr. Brown at an Asian food store today, and I have to say: It's quite good. I didn't taste any peppermint at all, maybe that was a bad batch. Maybe Mr. Brown had been drinking that day, and I don't mean a latte.
I don't have to support Starbucks by drinking it, and it comes in an ultrafunky little hard aluminum can with that wicked sick mascot. Look at him, he knows something! What is it?
Is it that Mr. Brown uses only the highest quality ingredients or is it that Mrs. Brown is a nymphomaniac?
I like Mr Brown. I prefer Suntory's Boss, but as that is not available here, and the little Oriental Foods store has Mr Brown, I make do. Haven't seen a caffiene analysis, but the stuff seems to pack a bit of a punch compared at least to stuff available here... I've gotten a wicked rush offa just a can of the stuff and a pot and a half of strong tea, which makes me think it has at least a couple cups of drip coffee's worth of caffiene in it...
I just love the logo! Er... is 'Popeye' still trademarked though???
Yeah Popeye is still copyrighted.
We're able to get three varieties of Mr. Brown in St. Louis: the Iced Coffee, Iced Hawaiian Kona and Iced Cappucino. I think the Iced Hawaiian rocks! Excellent, smooth aroma and taste. Not too sweet or thick. Next, is the Iced Cappucino-at around 200 calories, it's not worth the trouble as compared to the other two, which weigh in at 60 calories. Lastly, the Iced Coffee also is a winner at our home; again, a smooth aroma and a slightly bittersweet chocolate taste which is great if you're a bittersweet chocolate fan.
Don't knock it 'til you try it.
Mr. Brown runs trains on all other canned drinks....and his trains run on time. (^-^ )v
My Dad's coffee simply Rocks!
Matter of fact, I 'm drinking some now.
Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
I love this coffee, it sort of has the taste of those little solid coffee candies... but the thing is that the cans don't store that much coffee in it to be worth $0.99 (CA) each ... :(
I am looking for Mr Brown Milk Tea - instant, in little yellow packages. Can you help?!!!
Carol
This stuff got me sick. Dont ever drink it. My stomach started hurting after i drank it.i can feel my stomach bubbling. I had to use the bathroom. My ears burn and im very hot. I dont know what those people put in that drink. DONT DRINK IT!!!

Today I am josning for a Mr Brown. When I was in canada used to buy the daily in china town.
Now I am in Belize and have none lol.
Anyone care to mail me one please??
mr. brown touched me when I was a child
You know... This thing has been around a lot longer than Starbucks. I used to have 2+ cans a day when I was a child. Of course, I was pretty much the typical ADHD kid. lol
Mr. Brown rocks! I was in Taiwan this summer and he's in every convenience store and vending machine. The taste is great and the price can't be beat. Mr. Brown's not nearly as strong as Starbucks but he still does the job if you drink more than one.
i love it

We got it at the asian market here in Hartford CT, usually I buy the Vietnamese knockoff of Mr. Brown, called HELLO BOSS, cuz it's the same price, but the can is 12 ounces compared to 8. But yesterday, they had Mr. Brown in 12 ounce bottles for 79 cents, only 10 cents more than cans. I gotta say, the French Vanilla flavor of it is amazing. See if you can pick it up.
Oh, and Serbian guy, if you're seriously interested in importing some. Here's the link to the company that makes it. http://kingcar.fuzing.com/ http://www.kingcar.com.tw/index02.asp
So yeah, check and see if you got, or can get the new bottles of Mr Brown, they're awesome. Also try HELLO BOSS, it's not bad either, just the cappucino doesnt got a good aftertaste.
correction: mr. brown has been around WAY longer than starbucks! WAY longer!
