Review: Megaman Zero for Gameboy Advance

Mega Man ZeroI guess the only Megaman game left for me to review is Megaman Zero for the GBA. Well that is not true because there are just so many of them.

Megaman Zero is a good departure from the typical games of the series. It is still a Megaman game but it features a different art style that more resembles Strider 2 or Metal Slug.

It looks like it was done by a new team than the same group of people at Capcom who worked on the past Megaman games. That is good because some new blood is exactly what is needed to keep the games fresh.

This actually is one of the more violent games in the megaman genre and had a lot of robots and guards getting chopped in half with Zero's light saber. The darker but still cartoony violence really was in the spirit of Metal Slug. I think the Japanese version had blood when some one got sliced but I need to confirm that.

Capcom tried to include some story elements and a non linear social interaction much like Castlevania 2. The bosses are more integrated into the story line than before.

Actually this game is pretty hard.

It has a pretty good difficulty in the normal action part but the bosses have twice to four times your life and they can do massive damage just by touching you. Exactly when did the bosses of Megaman games get so damn hard?

Megaman X is supposed to be the bad guy so that is cool and sort of like Legacy of Kain where the good guy from a previous game goes bad and becomes a bad guy.

Megaman Zero 2 is already out in Japan. Also Megaman X7 is due out on the PS2 and the Gamecube is getting a 2 1/2-D Megaman game.

It is a fresh addition to the megaman games and it really pushes the GBA hardware I just think the bosses may be to hard for casual gamers.

Yeah the Japanese version had blood in it. It's wierd because even the robots bled when you sliced them.

The game does kick much ass. I have it but right now I'm stuck at the level were you have to fight all of the bosses. I can probably do it but I haven't tried that hard.

Apologies, I'm not commenting on Megaman.,, just stepped in to see your awesome design here. Snooping around and looking for new ideas.

I have to say, honnestly, that this is one of the hardest games i've played. Well, actually it's kind of hard to get all of the Cyber-Elves, but other then that it's overall a good game
I give this game 9/10 *'s. If you want a challenging game, Buy this game. you won't be disappointed, unless you don't like these games.

Man this is the best megaman game ever. the only thing is i cant find all the cyber elves if anyone know how to get them and where they are pls mail it to me

You can find very good FAQs and Guides to this ( http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/game/14595.html ) and other games at Gamefaqs.com
