Review: GTA Vice City Soundtrack Vol.1: V-Rock
Hands down one of the advantages that GTA Vice City had over GTA3 is having real music on the Radio stations. Rockstar Games inked a deal to have real 80s music in the game and there is ALOT of it. In fact the official sound track ships on 7 CDs! So you can buy the stations you like or plunk down fifty bucks for the box set of all 7 radio stations. There is some really good tracks in the game but my favorite radio station is V-Rock the heavy metal station. I am a child of the 80s metal and I remember all of these songs when they were new. My only complaint is that there are three songs that are in the game and not on the soundtrack. Including Quiet Riot it is just not the 80s with out the Riot. I am also damn glad that they kept the crappy hair metal bands out of the soundtrack so you will not find any Poison, Warrent, Stryper, and Bon Jovi on the disk!
ROCK!
This CD is perfect for any kids who actually think that Korn, Kidd Rock and Limp Bizket is real music. I tell you old skool metal used to rule. It still rules and it always will rule. This is a damn good 12 bucks and even if you don't have to game it is worth it.
Also fans of GTA3 will get a kick out of Lazlow hosting an 80s metal radio station.
BECAUSE METAL RULES BABY!!!
Here is the Track Listing.
01. DJ Lazlow Intro
02. Judas Priest - You've Got Another Thing Comin'
03. Motley Crue - Too Young to Fall in Love

I went to a judas priest-iron maiden concert in the Tacoma dome a year ago. It rocked so hard that I had to re-write my diary!!!!! (just a saying...i dont have a diary)Rob Halford is the most rockinist gay guy that I have ever seen! I bought his new album because it rocked so damn hard. Shout out to MR. Halford. Fuc*in BAD ASS!!!

I forgot to say this....Iron Maiden was kick ass too. They had a giagantic "eddie" that looked like wicker and had a bunch of half naked chicks in it clawing to get out while eddie shot "lasers"
out of his frickin eyeballs over the crowd! I'd buy that for a dollar!!!!!

Crappy Hair Metal Bands??lol!!!
Damn i grew up listening to bands like Poison,Warrant,Stryper etc and even bands like TNT,Dokken,Tesla,etc..i`m a HUGE Glam fan and still listening to it all, even the newer bands to come along like Heart Throb Mob,Queeny Blast Pop,Glamour Punks,The Zeros etc...of which some are sadly no longer...i even have my own band and play Glam.
I LOVE Vice City and the music is all great in the game and V-Rock rules!!!But jesus..."Crappy Hair Metal Bands"????Come on!!!

Sorry man when I was a kid the bands that were hard core and cool were, Kiss, Quiet Riot, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Anthrax, ACDC.
Hair metal was not quite my bag I liked harder stuff.
Hard metal had elements of glam but there was a big differance to Anthrax and Stryper.

I was reviewing the album to the soundtracks in the game. I have no connection to the people who made the game or the soundtrack.
Besides Metallica and Megadeth were any of those bands around in the 80s? However on the PC version of GTA3 you could set up a custom station to play your own MP3 files and that feature will be in the PC version of Vice City.
Now if they would only have a walk-man in the game so you can keep the music playing when you were on the street and switching cars.

Nope this is a web magazine or Zine. Wish I did have my own radio station.

andii vamp...dude....slipknot, mushroomhead, mudvaynem, drowning pool? ok..man...seriously...i dont even concider that metal..its like...crap metal...im guessing that you are young...around...15....if not...my bad...but whatever...
my advice...is
Slayer, cannibal corpse, iced earth, the project hate, in flames, OLD metallica, etc...go to mp3.com and download some good underground bands off that site...its better than slipknot i can promise...and come on???

Nah I am to political I can't even stand old Metalica now that I know what a bunch of assholes they are. But then I allways liked Megadeth more.

Old 70's rock and 80'S metal is definitely a must listen !!!
But if you want to REALLY HEAR SOMETHING DIFFERENT listen to european bands like Nightwish ( Finland), After Forever ( the Netherlands ), Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Dark Moor, etc.
Music did not forget Pionneers Like Sabbath, Ac dc, Stones, Beatles, Henrix, Miles Davis it's simply merging in style.
Music creativity and style will always surpass it's fashion and COMMERCIAL ASPECT when the artists stay integral in their belief and creativity !!!!

This was music from the 80s. Not 70s or 60s. And music back then was just as commercial as it is now. Just look at The Monkeys.
