Review : Frito Lay Munchies : Kids Mix

Chairman Kaga of Iron Chef with MunchiesToday when I was getting gas at 7-11 I noticed that they had new Munchies Kids Mix and I had to give them a shot. I have loved the normal Frito Lay Munchies and the Flaming Hot Munchies in the past.

This "Kids Mix" is a mixture of Cheetos, small Doritos, Rold Gold pretzels, popcorn, and here is the slightly weird part. Cap'n Crunch cereal and some M & M look a likes. Apparently they added some vitamins to the mix and are trying to pass this crap off as healthy stuff to the drones of the easily manipulated Wal-mart moms out there. My mom was some what of a natural foods hippie and had almost no junk food until I was about ten. I really don't think that these are anywhere near good for kids since they are probably eaten during a several hour TV and video game binge. But I on the other had am somewhat a mature adult so I ate about half a bag during a Playstation 2 and Gamecube session. I mean I can enter legal contracts, own a fire arm, smoke and get married I can handle all the damn junk food I want but I would not include this stuff in an everyday diet for a kid. Once in a while would be OK. There are seven servings to a bag so I ate about four.

These were quite good and a bit sweet and salty but did not completely rock my world but it was a pretty good mix of junk snack food. I will have to get some more next time I go over to BBQ's place and kick his ass at Smackdown.

Sounds like it is better than candy for your kids but I should try it. Does the ADULT mix have a tiny bottle of booze in it? That would be cool!

Adult mix tastes like beer and porn

I only got the kids mix once... I don't know if it was just that one bag or what but there were no more than 5 candies pieces and they are almost impossible to find... Anyways. I also found it funny how they were all making it sound so good for you on the package... I'd say just eat dry cap'n crunch, or buy m&ms. I am a fan of the Munchies varieties, as you know, but this one doesn't cut it... you're better off getting everything in here separately
