Review : Coke C2
So Coke has been getting off their ass and introducing new additions to their core product line. We have already seen the already tasty vanilla coke and I remember in the early 90s when they added Cherry Coke.
Coke just added Coke C2 to their product line in the US. I am not sure if they are selling this in the rest of the world yet ( Kiwi? ). What C2 is basically normal sugar coke but with half the sugar and half the carbs if you are into that thing. This actually works out really well because I like the taste of cola and think it can be too overpowered by the sugar. I totally hate the taste of artificial sweetener so I think this is a brilliant idea. They probably pissed away several million buck in research and development.
It does not taste like normal coke it tastes like some generic store brand cola but since there is less sugar you actually taste more cola nut. It is pretty tasty with rum in a Cuba Libre. It is half the calories of normal coke and I would totally prefer it to that plastic tasting diet coke crap.
Luckily this is not "New Coke".

Don't forget about Lime Coke and Lemon Coke. The Lime Coke, while no substitute for an actual lime wedge, is actually pretty tasty. The Lemon Coke, however, tastes like they sprayed a 5-second blast of lemon-scented Pledge into the can before sealing it up.
I used to hate the taste of Diet Coke, but after making myself drink Diet Dr. Pepper for a month, I got used to the taste of sweetener and switched to Diet Coke soon after. Now I love the stuff and regular cola tastes way way way to sugary.
Of course, none of that really matters, as soda is just yet another way to ingest vast amounts of caffeine.

C2 has aspartame in it as well as regular sugar. So you get to get fat AND have the artifical sweetener aftertaste!
! IMHO !
I have moved on to generic seltzer water (I'm now old and boring)

Nope, we don't have C2 here.
We have Diet Coke with Lime and a rebranded Diet Sprite called Sprite Zero.

At least you're not drinking this because you're on Atkins. Diet Coke contains NO CARBS, making C2 completely pointless for that reason.

I don't mind Diet Coke, as I got used to drinking it early on, since I was diagnosed with both hyperglycemia and epilepsy...however, I most definitely enjoy a true Coca-Cola as often as possible. Haven't tried the C2, though, not really into aspartame, anything that is made from wood ethanol just doesn't appeal to me.

Low sugar is relative. It is still a hell of a lot of calories.

I am one of the converts from Regular Coke to C2. I am very much a Coca-holic, drink several a day. I can tell the difference, but not by much, it is an easy taste to get used too. Diet Coke for me, well I hate it. C2 is for those folks that don't like Diet Coke!
I started drinking C2 when it first came to my area about 2 months ago. Since then I have lost 18 pounds and no longer have heartburn. The C2 is the only thing I changed and lost the weight and the heartburn.
The guys at the convenience store nicknamed me "Jared" because I lost so much weight on one product.
Thank you Coca-Cola for C2!
