Prepare Yourself for The Coffee Table of Gaming Goodness 2006 Remix!

Right now I am recording the TV show Rollergirls for my girlfriend Kymberly. She is a sucker for Reality shows and a documentary show about all girl roller-derby is to much to pass up.

This weekend I cleaned up my apartment a lot and yesterday I redesigned my old Coffee Table of Gaming Goodness for 2006. I put the Dreamcast into storage for now and I did my best to minimize and optimize the wire mess situation. I love this little coffee table and it was the best find from Goodwill that I have gotten in quite a while

Going clockwise we have my LCD TV. Xbox, Controller S, 70s Mechagodzilla, modded pimped-out PSTwo, Retrocon, Tiki mug full of PS2 Memory Cards, My Gamecube with Gameboy Player, Afterglow controller, Generation Nex with Famicom Kid Dracula and Super Mario Bros. 3, Nes Dog-bone gamepad, Tiki drink coasters, remote controls for TV and DVD-R, Buddy Christ figure from Dogma, my Philips DVD Recorder with hard drive, game AV Switchbox with S-Video for everything but the Gen Nex and a mug of a refreshing dark frothy beverage. I have some rugs to cover up the power cord and cable TV cords so I don't have to worry about tripping over things

Here is the front 3/4.

Might I suggest wireless controllers? I got a Logitech Action Controller for my PS2 and a Wavebird for my Gamecube and I can't imagine life without them anymore. Really helps clear up the clutter and tripping hazards.

Wavebirds = awesome. I've had three basically since I bought the GC (one with it, two a month later for a song). Only one has given me trouble and that was a sign of the batteries dying. Battery life = excellent, as long as you turn it off. They're a $5 or 15 premium (don't remember which), but they're great. Range is excellent, too. Only noticeable difference between the wired and the Wavebird is the lack of a rumble function.

How do you like Super Mario Bros. 3 Japanese? Curious if you feel it's a more complete package than the US versions (two were released) - not a radical departure from the US release but different none the less.

Your Dreamcast may be coming back out of storage soon as the NeoGeoCD emulator (Neo4All) has just begun an AES offshot that runs NeoGeo AES cartridge ROM data. Neo4All/AES is only in an alpha 1 right now but it's very impressive and support is getting better every day, even SVC Chaos is running in limited form right now. Not yet time to call it an emulation powerhouse but give it a couple months.

I have SVC Chaos on Xbox.

I like the fact that it is a lot harder than the US version because when you get hit you go back to small Mario in Super Mario Bros 3 Japanese. That makes it a challenge. Also there are cool wipe fade at the start of the levels.
