PAX 2007 Wrap Up
Going to PAX 2007 was an experience so completely awesome that it has re-energized and re-encouraged me to write video game related stuff for my website. I know it's a little thing but I've never been to E3 but PAX made me feel like I was not missing out. I met some great people and saw some great games. Going to PAX with my pal BBQ make it twice as much fun and we were way more wired than two kids in a candy store. It was cool to go on Sunday but all the good panels were on Saturday. If you have only one day to go to PAX make it Saturday.
For me the best game that I saw was Godzilla Unleashed on the Wii. It was awesome but we are completely biased Godzilla freaks. The Wii controls were a lot of fun and probably the best Wii controls out there. The graphics looked great and I literally can't wait for this game. There is a huge roster of awesome Toho monsters but I can't saw more. We are very very stoked about it.
The biggest games that I am surprised that I did not see was Guitar Hero 3 and Halo 3. Apparently there were some games shown behind closed doors and I did not have a press pass. Next year and I so going to get a press pass.
Rockband is going to be insanely popular and awesome.
I got to meet Wil Wheaton face to face and I bought his latest book. There was a total of three times that people were surprised to find out that I write 8bitjoystick.com including Wil Wheaton who apparently reads my site. I told him that his own site was a major inspiration to me and that I've been doing my own site for over four years because of it. We also told him that Python and Stand by Me were awesome. Oh yeah he was also in a little show called Star Trek The Next Generation. I was wearing my 8bitjoystick.com shirt and after I found out that Wil was a fan I changed at the nearest restroom into a new Xbox Gamertag T-shirt (Thanks Gamerscoreblog!) and gave Wil my custom 8bitjoystick.com shirt. He loved it and it was beyond completely awesome. (Note to Wil : If you are reading it. I am sorry that it really needed to be washed and don't use the dryer because it can mess up the iron-on transfer graphics.) Literally giving Wil Wheaton the shirt off my back was probably the nerdiest thing that I have ever done and I have done some completely nerdtastic things.

Apparently you didn't stay for the Omegathon. Where the last game in the series, they played the most recent build of Halo 3. Surprising the fuck out of everyone. :)
Didn't see you @ the surprise pre-view event: http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=12720
Too short of notice to come across the pond? It was totally kick ass.
PS. I have a site for your girl: http://www.gamerwidow.com/
Tom doesn't think my Halo Widow hoodie is very funny. :D
