MP3 and WiFi Assisted Road Trip

Woo-hoo I am having a WiFi enabled road trip. This weekend I am driving over to eastern Washington to visit my grandparents and family.

Jake in Cle Elum In June

But I am getting sick of the music that I have in my car so I am sitting in a pizza shop in Cle Elum WA were I am putting together a playlist of music in iTunes to be burnt to a MP3 Data CD for my car stereo. It is most fun and I deviantly see the advantages of bringing ones entire musical library with yourself on a notebook or high capacity digital music player.

After some dinner and gas I will stop by this one-horse shit-hole of a town's one Wifi enabled coffee house and upload this post and pict. Hell if I even wanted to I could download some new music for the trip. That is pretty damn sci-fi considering I am in the ass crack of Washington state.

I am burning over 11 hours of MP3s to a CD if one were inclined to sit down and listen to it for 11 hours straight but that is not quite the point. It is about choice. It is about the ability to listen a whole bunch of music and be as selective and fickle as you want because you have a hell of a lot of tunes at your finger tips. The future of digital media is more about choice and access than resolution and megahertz.

somehow, that pic makes me think of John Belushi :)

seems like you're enjoying your trip, aside from visiting the "ass crack of Washington state" :D

Oh it's less smelly than the "ass crack" that was Bakersfield, CA.

Hi Jake. Is it me - I'm having troubles using your email address? Anyway, I hope you are having a wonderful road trip. Just wanted to see if you could come to a blogger gathering on Bainbridge July 17th...details here...http://www.julieleung.com/archives/001149.html

It'd be great to see you there...I'm trying to connect Kitsap and King county bloggers...thanks!
