Mini Review : F-Zero Maximum Velocity for Gameboy Advance

F-Zero GBAI am on a bit of a Gameboy Advance kick because it is actually possible to write a decent review of one in twenty minutes so I can hit my half and hour deadline.

It is hard to believe that in the time that I have had a Gameboy Advance I have never reviewed F-Zero Maximum Velocity. This is the second GBA game that I got over a year ago but this still remains the fastest high adrenaline game on the GBA. The Super Nintendo game was a revolutionary game that influenced all racing games after it. The high speed feeling continues to have an effect on games almost as much as the arcade games of Yu Suziki like Outrun, Hang-on and Space Harrier

This is not direct port of the old Super Nintendo game but rather a new game based on the engine and physics with the same look and feel. This is not an easy game at all and would not be good for kids with no twitch reflexes. The single game multi-link is weak due to the ram limitations.

I hope that Nintendo makes a sequel for the GBA to complement F-Zero GX for the Gamecube.

Ever played F-Zero for the N64? That was brilliant and imagine having the DD with the Track Designer...

I agree with you with the new GBA game - perhaps we might get that ability then.
