Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII are not coming to Xbox 360 and I feel fine
One of the thing that Sony made abundantly clear at E3 is that the big sequel exclusives that are in development for the PS3 and not the Xbox 360 are Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4 and Squeenix's Final Fantasy XIII. However honestly I have a rather lame reason for not being to excited about them.
Now I have a brutal honest deep dark secret that I have to get off my chest that will forever damage my reputation as a hard core gamer.
Ok here it goes..
There are plenty in the Metal Gear and Final Fantasy games that I have never played through and lots that I barely scratched and some that I have never played at all.
Wow it feels weird to get off my chest.
I know they are great games but I have not really gotten around to playing them. I have them because I know how good they are they have never really held my interest to be at the top of my game play list
This is a brutally honest admission for me
Metal Gear on NES played and beat it
Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake on NES have but haven't finished it
Metal Gear Solid on PS1 Played a bit
Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes on Gamecube borrowed it and played a bit
Metal Gear Solid 2 on PS2 have played a bit
Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS2 Don't have haven't played
Metal Gear Acid on PSP had it but I thought was boring and sold it
Metal Gear Acid 2 on PSP never played and don't own it
Metal Gear Portable on PSP never played and don't own it
So if I want there are a lot of Metal Gear games that I have not played through yet.
Currently the PS3 exclusivity of Metal Gear Solid 4 is questionable at best even after e3. But there are plenty of good stealthy military action games that I could play on my 360 that are pretty darn good but their not "Metal Gear Solid".
And as far as Final Fantasy goes this is my brutally honest admission of progress or my lack of it.
Final Fantasy I – Finished it on Nes and I have it on PSone
Final Fantasy II - I have it on PSone but have not played through it.
Final Fantasy III - have on DS and need to finish playing it
Final Fantasy IV - Finished it and have on SNES and PSone
Final Fantasy V - have on PSone
Final Fantasy VI - Finished it on Snes and PSone
Final Fantasy VII - finished on PSone and I love it
Final Fantasy VIII - have on PSone but never finished
Final Fantasy IX - have on PSone but never finished
Final Fantasy X - have on PS2 but haven't gotten into it
Final Fantasy XI Online - Never played.
Final Fantasy X-2 - on PS2 Don't have and haven't played it
Final Fantasy XII - on PS 2 Don't have and haven't played it
Final Fantasy Tactics - on PSone have and beaten it
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - on GBA have it but haven't gotten into it
Do we really need Metal Gear and Final Fantasy on the Xbox 360?
However there are plenty of good Final Fantasy games coming out on the PSP, Wii and DS and there are good Japanese made RPGs that I am looking forward to on the 360 like Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.
One thing about Xbox Live Gamescore and achievements keep you honest. You can't just have games and not played them because people can see if you've played them or not via your achievements.
So I am not loosing any sleep about there not being Final Fantasy XIII or Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Xbox 360 and if I feel like I need a Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid fix I need to go though and play the old games that I have passed up before not worrying about playing the latest and greatest in the series.
However if you've played all the previous Metal Gear and Final Fantasy games then you are probably much more hardcore than me and you probably should get a PS3 so you can play the new games when they come out. Right now I can almost hear the fanboys hyperventilating.

Here's my list. Actually I've never beaten any of the Metal Gear games. But I believe the original Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was released in Japan for the MSX, and was a completely different and better game than Metal Gear 2: Snake's Revenge on NES.
Anyway, about Final Fantasy, my championship record be more better than thou!
Final Fantasy I – Finished it on Nes and I have it on PSone and GBA
Final Fantasy II - Emulated the NES version, have it on PSone, beat it on GBA
Final Fantasy III - Emulated the NES version, have on DS and need to finish playing it
Final Fantasy IV - Finished it on SNES and GBA and have on PSone

Final Fantasy VI - Finished it SNES many times, I LOVE that game...still the best one if you ask me. Also have it on PSone and GBA.

Final Fantasy IX - Have it and beat it on PS1
Final Fantasy X - Have it and beat it on PS2

I also have Final Fantasy Legend 1, 2 and 3 and Final Fantasy Adventure for Gameboy, but those don't really count. And I never finished any of them.

If you are going to play one metal gear solid game Jake, play 3. It's incredible.

Final Fantasy 13 and Metal Gear Solid 4 are games I would consider buying for the Xbox 360 if they received good reviews, and if they were released simultaneously for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
People are not going to buy a Playstation 3 for those two games. It is a huge business mistake of Square Enix and Konami to keep these games a secret, since they are likely in development for the Xbox 360. There should be an "Official" announcement, so that hype can be generated for the Xbox 360 versions of the games. The Xbox 360 versions will obviously be better; after all, virtually all games released on both systems always end up rated higher with more features, better graphics, online chat, and better online play when they are on the Xbox 360.
I definitely agree that the Xbox 360 is 100% fine without Final Fantasy 13 or Metal Gear Solid 4.
After all, we already have Final Fantasy 11 on the Xbox 360. Xbox 360 has plenty of other RPG games, as well. Plus there are awesome games like Rainbow Six: Vegas and so many other "stealth" style games on Xbox 360...Metal Gear Solid 4 won't be missed on the Xbox 360...but, I do think it will arrive on the Xbox 360, because Konami isn't dumb enough to let an opportunity like that pass them by.

I dont really care much for medal gear(sry) never was into that game I was more forlike fps, fighting, and rpg that why I have a 360. But it kind of sucks that we mite not be able to play ff13 on xbox if it dose come out I am going to buy it I mean comone I have seen the trailer and it looks awesome. But If it dose come out for 360 then it going to come out after the ps3 verson taht for sure cuase that is what mainly happens(idkwhy) But I hopw that it comes out for 360 even if it come out like 1 year later i`m going to get it. But I dont really thin kthat the ps3 is worth it at all people shouldent waist there money on that system I mean comeon I have a ps2 and I have good game on it but still 360 has better(sry ps2 i`m not cheating on u I promiss) but yea I mean I jsut got assasins creed for my 360 and comeon its kick ass why get it for ps3 and I dont really see the new things they added.

MGS THE TWINS SNAKES IS THE SAME AS MGS 1 , WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU BUY THE SAME GAME?? YOUR A DISCRASE TO MGS.... AND WHAT STEALTHY GAMES ARE ON THE 360 ? SPLINTER CELL RIGHT ? A GAME MIMICKED BY A CONSOLE THAT SOLD ONLY 20-MILION , COMPARED TO ANOTHER CONSOLE THAT SOLD OVER 100 MILLION... I AM A MGS FAN ALWAYS HAVE BEEN SINCE MGS1.. NEXT TIME TRY HARDER AT PASSING THEM OR EVEN PLAY THEM THERE REALLY GOOD GAMES...
