Media Monopolies, Cable Modems and Nachos
I just signed up for cable modem service after getting some good news at work. They have been having a sale and ATTBI soon to be Comcast is the only faster than dial up connection available to me. I will be hooked up next weekend and will be getting an Xbox Live account and Capcom VS SNK2 EO for Xbox. Anyone here use Xbox Live I have some questions about routers and do you like it? I am going to try to get 8bitJoystick as my Xbox Live Gamertag. You know for a Linux user is am too damn excited about a Microsoft Product.
So I am making plans to have no real plan next weekend rather than enjoy my new cable modem. I am going to move my computer out to my living room to reduce the amount of ether net I need to lay down. I swear once I get my cable modem hook up I may never leave my apartment ever again.
Apple's Safari has inspired me to give Phoenix a try. So now I am using 0.5 for a week just to kick the tires. I miss the Password Manager of Mozilla and I hope they put it back in. But it does sort of remember what you have filled in a form like IE auto fill but I would like to see the Mozilla Password manager just in case. Also if they would have an option to have the text anti-aliased in Red Hat 8 like Konquer is I would love it.
Phoenix is fast but Mozilla was never really slow to me so I am wondering what exactly is the point of it. I mean it has a lower memory use but I have 196 megs of Ram so that really is not a big factor for me.
I didn't sufficiently look for an icon for Phoenix so I made one of my own before I found the commie star looking one. Get it? It is Phoenix from the X-Men
Jameson of Sourcreamzengarden is shocked that the case about how Nike is going to the supreme court to win back their right to lie in their advertising is not being covered at all in main stream media. In fact main stream media is actually defending Nike just like most mainstream media defended Mc Donalds over the spilled coffee lawsuit.
You see Nike spends a lot of money of advertising on just about ever God damn media known to man. So does Mc Donalds. That is why most news sources who are funded by advertising bling bling will not bite or criticize those corporations that feed them. Just like how we will never see real campaign fiance reform. Because it threatens the powers that mass media has both socially and politically.
Where will it end... it won't ever end.
But enough of the melodrama Silent Bob I am going to 7-11 for some goodies and Nachos.

As a fellow linux user, I find phoenix to be a massive improvement over Mozilla, mostly cause I don't have 196 megs of ram. I'm computing on an older system, and have been using Galeon up untill the release of Phoenix. I love it so far, but it is missing some key features, like the password manager, I think it will shape up to be a fine browser.

Yeah it is shaping up nicely but I have to suggest you invest in some ram.

Wait, wait one second. So a lady buys hot coffee from McDonald's, because coffee is a hot beverage and people like it hot, and she's stupid enough to stick this hot coffee in her lap and then she has to stop quickly and spills it all over herself, and you're saying it's McDonald's fault that they served a hot beverage hot? Correct me if I'm wrong...
