Mario says "Damn only 548.5 Million in profit"
Nintendo had to reduce their profit forecast but things are not as rosy as they could be but they are not that bad at all.
Microsoft on the other hand is still posting losses on the Xbox while Nintendo can still post a profit of $548.5 million. The Pokemon maker still has billions in the bank and I expected them to be around for decades to come.

Nintendo cuts 02/03 profit Forecast by 18 Percent
TOKYO, April 7 (Reuters) - Videogame company Nintendo Co Ltd on Monday slashed its group net profit forecast for the business year that ended on March 31 by 18 percent due to sluggish sales of its GameCube machine. The Kyoto-based company, known for its hit "Pokemon" games, now expects a group net profit for 2002/03 of 66 billion yen ($548.5 million) against its November forecast of 80 billion yen.
Nintendo's bad news still sounds pretty good.
