Let's Look on the Bright Side of the GTA IV Delay!
So what are the good side of GTA IV being delayed until 2008?
Well for starters there is going to be more time in your schedule to play other great games coming out this year games like Guitar Hero 3, Rockband, Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy.
There is a greatly reduced chance of there being bad bugs and glitches when it ships. I mean take a look at Sonic the Hedgehog on Xbox and PS3. It is almost unplayable and could have undoubtedly benefitted from some more time with the developers. There is also more time for them to play test the game and polish the rough edges.
If you don't already have an HDTV with a Xbox 360 or PS3 hooked up to it you just got at least three more months and an entire holiday season to save up and get one in time for when they finish and ship GTA IV.
Hey at least it's not Max Payne. Rockstar's Max Payne was supposed to be a Dreamcast launch title back in 1999 and it eventually came out two years later on the PS2 and Xbox but the Dreamcast system was dead by the water.
If you have not played Rockstar's Bully on PS2 now is a good chance to enjoy it over the next couple months. The Xbox 360 and Wii versions is unlikely to be out before GTA IV but I really need to play my copy of Bully on the PS2.
You will have more time to work on your perfect custom soundtrack for the game. I am going to sort through my digital music collection and put together the perfect to roll to when I finally pop GTA IV into my 360.
At least you will get a chance to catch up on your reading. Might I suggest the book The Godfather by Mario Puzo?
At least they are going to use this extra time to makes sure they get it all right.

Ah that makes me feel much better..wait 2008! :(
I knew that the original date was way too early, just knew it. You're right though, its better that they take the extra time to get it right.
I have too many old games to play anyways, the urge to play them in cronological order just worsens my recently lack of playing new games.

If you start to replay them chronicologicaly you should play Grand Theft Auto 1, 2 and London 69 on the PSOne. Don't just start with the totally 3d GTA3.

hi guys here is the real reson its been delayed with so many games coming out for christmas rockstar thought it would be best to build up a hype for the game ready for sale in febuary 2008 so in doing this the game was obviously delayed but guys expect a few suprises soon mainly on the internet cant go into too much but rockstar definitly have a few suprises up there sleave
