It ends up that Apple DOES Trust Me
Hey per the suggestion in the comments in the last post I was able to reauthorize those tracks by re-adding them to the iTunes music library. Yay! I guess Apple DOES trust me. But I sure learned an important lesson about DRM and value backing that crap up.
