Insanely Great and on it's way from Cupertino

On Saturday I placed my order for my new iBook G4. I had to order it custom because I wanted the DVD burner, and extra half a gig of RAM and the bigger 80-gig hard drive. It should be here by the end of the week and I can't wait. It am rather excited about going back to Mac.

I will have to change my dial-up ISP because Netscape ISP does not support Macs.

The first game that I am going to install on my new iBook will be Warcraft 3. Besides that there is a hell of a lot more games for the Mac than there has ever been before. I remember when it was just Dark Castle, Marathon and Myst.

I am probably going to go with the X11 version of OpenOffice rather than going for the NeoOffice port until NeoOffice matures a bit more. I just can't wait to move all my documents over and get my hands on the new software. I can't wait to try out the program Voodoo Pad and if Mac OpenOffice and Apple Works turns out to be a pain I might try Apple's new iWork apps.

Most of my Mac stuff I'll just get from a store over in the U-District in Seattle. All of my PC accessories should work with exception of my old PC serial port printer. I might need a special connector for that or if I want to print I'll just save a PDF from the Mac and take it over to my PC notebook before sending it to the printer.

I can't wait to install a whole bunch of emulator programs and move over my old games.

Hey did you know that Targus has a whole new line of notebook cases for the ladies that look like purses?

It was a bit nervous ordering a $1,800 computer on-line but it should not be a problem. This should be my only major purchase of 2005. Knock on wood.

Ordered iBook
