How Should I Stimulate The Economy?
I got a bonus at work and I want to put a big chunk in savings and then blow about $300 on something fun.
Normally I would just buy the new latest game system but the PSP, PS3, Nintendo DS, Nintendo N5 and Xbox Xenon are a long long way away.
Darn.
There is the really cool WiFi enabled Sony CLIE PEG-TJ37 and Dell Axim X3i PDAs out there.
So if you had to spend about $300 on nerd stuff what would you do?
Or I could spend my treasure on ale and whores ala PVP

I just picked up a new scanner/copier/printer with part of my tax refund...that replaced my separate fax machine, printer and scanner in one fell swoop (and it's Mac-compatible, unlike my old ones).
Beyond that, if I had $300 to blow I'd get a third generation iPod to replace my first generation one (that I've long filled to capacity).

Ale and whores is always my answer ;o)
Nerd stuff... I'd probably buy a big ass memory card for my camera then spend the rest on sleazy undies, booze and men. But I'm not much of a nerd. :)

I would like to get All-in-one printer (scanner, fax, printer and copier). That is, HP PSC 240 Photosmart ( http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/ho/WF06b/18972-238444-236260-12085-f7-303752-303754-303755.html ).

I would rather use the Inkjet printer that I have or the printer at work than buy a new scanner printer thing.

I'd raise the allotted amount of your funds to about $350, pick up the Sony Clie, and head to hot topic and use the remaining to acquire the latest 8 Bit clothing apparel.

yeah, i too would finally buy a PDA, the clié one.
or i would buy a metal dance platform for DDR.
those twinbee gun controllers for final fantasy x-2 would be cool too.
what else is there..... if you really intend to buy a nitendo DS i would say you should save some money to buy some of the "hopefully" cool games that come along with it.
or 8 bit clothing apparel :p

Is that US or NZ?
If it was NZ, it wouldn't go far. :p

I'd try out the $200 version of the Harmony remote, since my remote situation has gotten really out of control. And maybe some new games for a change...instead of old, price-dropped ones.

I'd use the money to continue work on my emulation / MAME arcade cabinet. But why don't you use half of your $300 to buy a TurboDuo? ..I'll support that console until my dying day.

I don't think I support you spending money on WHORES!!!!!!!!!!

You could buy 100+ cups of coffee for 300 big boys (just like Fry in the Futurama Episode) :-)

Bigger TV Jake. That damn TV is ridiculously tiny.

I've got €200 to blow at the moment too.
It'll probably go on a Famicom SP imported from Hong Kong, along with some posters.
