Gonna be a Grunge Zombie for Halloween 2005

This year I am going to dress up as a grunge rock zombie for Halloween. My girlfriend Kymberly is going to go as a little dead gothic girl and my friend BBQ has not made up his mind as to what he is going to go as.

For my costume I am going to take an old pair of blue jeans and slash them up and take some steel wool to them to rough it up. I am going to do the same to a plaid flannel shirt and get a early 90s grunge band t-shirt and then I am going to cover them with some dirt. I am going to get a blond long hair wing then I am going to cover myself with a healthy bottle of fake blood. My makeup is going to start with a grey base and cover my face, neck and hands. Then I am going to cover my face in a liquid latex then add more makeup and darken it with some black make up. I am going to roughen up the dried liquid latex so it looks like dead skin on my face. It should be pretty damn cool looking.

I was thinking of going as a zombie with a mullet and a wife-beater but that would be pretty cold for late october in Seattle.

I am going to take a half day off at work and get busy working on the makeup before we take a ferry over to Seattle. We are going to meet BBQ in Queen Ann and then head downtown scream at some people. Eat some brains and then take a bus up to Capital Hill. Then we are going to check out some Halloween movies at the Egyptian theater then stop by the various clubs and bars on Capital Hill.

I freaking love Halloween and I am damn glad my friend and girlfriend like it even more than me. I just wish it was not on a Monday this year.

Is there usually a lot of cool stuff to do on Halloween in Washington?

We dont have anything to do here. My Girlfriend and I are just going to stay home and watch zombie movies. Relaxing, but not quite as fun as a night on the town.

Oh Yeah. Seattle is always fun and it is inhabited by 50% total freaks. I mean that in the good way.

NZ doesn't celebrate Halloween, you insensitive clod! :p

Unless you work at the Warehouse, who milk the holiday for all its worth, despite not fitting into NZ-ness.

Well you should start the tradition in New Zealand Matt. I am sure the candy and chocolate makers down there would be very happy if you did.
