Game that I've been playing : March 10th
Rock Band in Tour Mode while playing Guitar and Singing.
Since my girlfriend Kymberly has not been too enthralled with Rock Band and I don't have friends over often to play Xbox I never really got into the Band mode.
However yesterday I tried to use the communications headset and Kymberly's Xbox gamertag account to create a band that comprises of Jake and Evil Jake. Normal Jake handles the guitar while Evil Jake sports a goatee like Spock in Mirror Mirror.
Now it is a lot harder than it looks to sing and play guitar at the same time. Even playing both on easy can be tricky. Yesterday I got a roll and was able to play medium on both but the added difficulty and kicked up level of involvement really is something. Another cool thing about playing two instruments with a virtual clone is that you are more likely to be the leader if you play online with others and get to pick the song. I have to prop the controller against the back of the couch so that the left trigger button is depressed so It can broadcast the singing to the rest of the online band. Playing the guitar is much more forgiving but it can distract you from the timing and pitch of the vocal tracks but you have to do good with the guitar to save the singer clone when you screw up singing. I also think that the Xbox communicator headset is not as forgiving as the Rockband USB Micrphone. So yeah playing RockBand normally was getting to be a bit of a bore so I am trying to play two instruments at once. If anyone can sing and play drums than you are way cooler than me.
Lost Odyssey
Man this is an absolutely epic and creative RPG. It's a creative and gorgeous RPG made on the Unreal Engine with turn based combat and fits on four DVDs. I can't believe it's not a Final Fantasy game however unlike the next Final Fantasy games Lost Odyssey is here now. By the makers of Blue Dragon. If Blue Dragon was the Xbox 360s Dragon Quest than Lost Odyssey is for sure it's Final Fantasy.
Devil May Cry 4
I rented Devil May Cry 4 and have been enjoying it It's nice to take it for a test drive and I am not convinced yet that I should pick it up.
Wipeout Pure
I picked up the newest hovercraft racing game and have been a big fan of the Whipout games. I don't remember them being as hard as this one.

I'm glad you like Lost Odyssey, and even more so that you liked Blue Dragon. When you progress more into LO you will eb surprised with justhow detailed and emotional the plot actually is, the CG scenes are stunning, especically the CG/Battle Sequence On the Train, its really good. Im on disc 4 and still enjoying what could be game of the year already, but then again im just a huge RPG fan.

I tried playing Rock Band with the headset while playing drums. I used an actual mic stand and the USB mic to play guitar and sing at the same time. The headset isn't as responsive as the USB microphone. Not sure if you realized it, but during the songs with taps (All the small things, Don't Fear the Reaper) you can just make "boop" sounds or other noises on key.

Blue Dragon was pretty neat (even if it was ludicrously easy), and while Lost Odyssey has been sitting on my shelf for a while, it hasn't made it into the system yet. Maybe soon. Glad you enjoyed BD though, that game doesn't get the lovin' very often.
I though DMC 4 was a little iffy at first, but I quickly came to enjoy it even for all its faults. Not perfect by any means, but still a nice action title imho.

LO's voice acting even 1-ups FF's. It's a thing of beauty!
