I love the scene at the beginning of The Matrix where the cool hipsters show up on Neo the computer nerd's door step and proceed to buy a contraband MiniDisc that Neo hides in a fake book.
Some people think it is software or some kind of digital drug but the truth it is much more sinister than that. They are trading illegally downloaded MP3 files!
Forget all the Christ complex ideas. The entire movie can be seen as a fable on the ethics of fair-use and DRM tactics. That is what the Agents evolved from.
Before the Agent Smith program worked for The Matrix he was an anti-p2p piracy sniffer program. The more you know..

That movie has people getting shot by computer bullets in the computer world, and they die because "the mind would react as if they were REALLY shot." That makes no logical sense. Also the evil computers use humans as batteries but they never gave them food to keep the humans alive. Therefore, using my genius brain I have decided that the movie is a total piece of garbage and is completely without meaning. Now Starship Troopers there is a good movie with no plot holes. Damn I'm smart.

Hey I said it violated the Laws of Thermodynamics ( http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermodynamics#The_Laws_of_Thermodynamics ) but it is still a fun movie.
Why did't the Agents make the matrix full of Cows they would not have any problems with Neo if they did that.

On the topic of the recording insustry: I have found a record label that seems to be not as much of a bitch as most. It is called Magnitune ( http://www.magnatune.com ) they seem to be on the side of good. They give more money to the artists, there albums are not quite as rediculously priced, and they allow you to hear them before you buy them(without the use of proprietary software or bloatware). The one thing I am not sure of is weather or not they are affiliated with the EVIL riaa. If anyone knows the answer to this please email me @ penguinpower_2@yahoo.com
