Essential Gamecube Games for New Wii Gamers
I betcha that there is a whole bunch of gamers that got a Nintendo Wii this winter and they have not owned a Nintendo Gamecube so they don't have and existing Gamecube game library to play on their new Wii. Well they should first be ashamed of themselves and they can repent their lack of faith in Nintendo during the Gamecube Era by getting some Gamecube GC controllers, a GC memory card and some of the following recommended used Gamecube games for their Wii. Not only are they readily available as affordable Used games but there are way more Gamecube games worth playing that just Wii games at this point.

Despite the detractors of it's unique art style Windwaker is one of the best Zelda games ever made

Not only is this one of the best looking Mario Kart games ever made but it is one of the funnest.

Save some virtual bucks and stock up on some classic Sonic

This collection is worth getting just for Sonic CD and Sonic R
Star Wars : Rouge Leader: Rouge Squadron II
Rouge Leader is one of the best Star Wars games without getting bogged down in an extended Star Wars universe.
Star Wars : Rebel Strike: Rouge Squadron III
The force is strong with with one.
Wario Ware Inc: Mega Party Games
A perfect introduction to Wario Ware since I doubt you have a GBA since you did not get a Gamecube

The best first person shooter for the GC and a great adventure
Metroid Prime 2
FPS shooters and not known as adventure games and it is a damn shame.
Godzilla : Destroy All Monsters Melee
Quite possibly the best Godzilla game ever made.
Final Fantasy : Crystal Chronicles
A great interpretation of a Zelda / Secret of Mana game for the GC. Also it was the first Squaresoft game on a Nintendo hardware platform in years
Soul Calibur 2
I don't think Soul Calibur 3 for PS2 surpassed Soul Calibur 2 and the Gamecube version with Link from Legend of Zelda is the best version of Soul Calibur 2 ever made. On a progressive scan Widescreen TV it looks good enough to eat.
F-Zero GX
Not only the fastest Gamecube racing game but it is a worthy sequel to the original F-Zero.
Super Mario Sunshine
It was a shame that this was Mario's only true sequel to Mario 64 at this point but it is the best game to tide you over until Super Mario Galaxy is finished.
Ikaruga
The Best space ship shooter game since the days of Gradius.
Viewtiful Joe
Viewtifull Joe is one of the best side scrolling action game since Gunstar Heroes and River City Ransom
Viewtiful Joe 2
This is a perfect example of 2D gameplay using 3D graphics in a taste combo that goes together like peanut butter and chocolate.

I know they have a new one coming out soon, but don't forget Super Smash Brothers Melee. IMHO, it's the best title on the Cube.

I know I am a heretic for saying this but I was never too impressed with Super Smash Bros Melee (http://www.8bitjoystick.com/archives/jake_review_super_smash_bros_melee_gc.php ). I thought the graphics were great but the game play was way to simplistic and it got boring and repetitive after about an hour.
