Coming Soon : Wii Virtual Console Reviews
This past Friday I took my small 13 inch TV and my Nintendo Wii over to a local coffee shop.
After buying a cup of hot chocolate I set it up in a table in the corner I was able to buy a whole slug of Wii points and classic games over the Wifi. I made sure that no-one was looking when I entered my credit card date at the cafe. I would love to do this at home but you can't access the new over a dial-up connection with the Wii despite my best attempts at Wifi sharing with the Wii via Mac OSX.
It seams that the drip dripping of Wii Virtual console releases have finally amounted to a glass half full. I love the fact that these games live on the system and can be called up at any time. I love taking a break from Zelda : Twilight Princess to play through the original Legend of Zelda again. I also love the fact that most of these VC games have an instant save so you can jump in to the exact point you left off at regardless of some save point.
I am going to be turning 30 this year and I remember all of these games when they were new but there is an entire generation of Wii gamers that don't remember being turned into an eggplant in Kid Icarus or figure out how to solve the dark world puzzles in Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past. So I am going to be reviewing the classic games that I have purchased for my Wii Virtual Console. Sure they will not be as long as other reviews but since these games are still fun to play and people are still buying them you folks deserve to know about it.
While you can play NES and TG-16 games with the Wiimote you really owe it to yourself to get the Classic Controller if you are going to be rocking Wii VC games.

really, with all the money you spend on game systems, games, and DVDs, would it be that hard to get a proper internet connection for your Wii? Xbox 360 without the live = half the experience.

I know I have been putting it off but I have been sort of saving it for a special occasion. But I will get DSL this year.
