Capcom's Tokyo Game Show Line-Up 2003
Capcom has revieled her lineup of game that they are going to be showing at the Tokyo Game Show and it looks like they are really stepping up their US and UK produced games that they are selling in Japan.
This is a weird reversal of forutue now that the US and UK is now producing quality games and the Japanese market can now enjoy them. This is a big change from the 16 bit era back when there was almost no US console game development outside of EA.
They are going to be showing .
PlayStation 2
Onimusha 3
Now with French men and samurai zombies.
Resident Evil Outbreak
Online multiplayer and full of zombies
Onimusha Blade Warriors
A four player 3d fighting game starring the samurai from Onimusha.
Monster Hunter
A four player fantasy action game.
Pride GP 2003
No rule big ultimate fighting beat down in Japan.
Maximo vs. Army of Zin
A sequal to the kick ass game developed by Capcom USA.
Way of the Samurai 2 (by Spike Co.)
I haven't played the first one but it looked Nihon-riffic.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
Covert stealth military action American style baby!
Grand Theft Auto 3
I am actually really currious to find out what the Japanese thing about this game. They like Yakuza movies so I guess they could dig it.

And a Sony UK made GTA clone getting the same billing as GTA3 in Japan. Weird.
The Mark of Kri (published by SCEA in the U.S.)
A game with asian influences made in america is coming to Japan.
War of the Monsters
God I hope they like this game as much as I do. I mean they love their giant monster wars in Japan and we did give them a kick ass Godzilla and Macross game.

On no more Mickey Mouse 2d games. Do kids even know who
Mickey Mouse is?
So there you go. Hopfully the US will get the good Japanese games and it is strangly satisfying to see the Japanese market get some of the quality games that the western world is now making.
