Asus to help make Xbox 360, 500k per month
I noticed two articles today about Xbox 360 production problems.
It has been reported that Taiwanese manufacturer Asustek (aka Asus) just has a deal to product Xbox 360 system and they claim that they can knock out 500,000 units a month. I suspect that this might have to do with the switch to the Jasper motherboard. This might explain the reasons behind the previous production problems or it might be a result of the Xbox 360 production issues.
According to the reports it is actually going to be two Asutek divisions Pegatron and Unihan.
