Mac OSX 10.4 Tiger
Generation Nex Game System

Why The Nintendo Revolution will be a sleeper hit
Resign the site and add some ads to turn a profit.

four topics got my attention:
- Why The Nintendo Revolution will be a sleeper hit
only interesting if fact for pricing and controller are provided ;-)
- Resign the site and ad some ads to turn a profit.
how about better English to attract more readers?
- Samurai Champloo on DVD
wow, what's that?
- Why Everyone should have a DVD Recorder
HDD recorder maybe, but DVD recorder is dead (new formats, expensive) unless you have DVD-RW.

"Better English to attract more readers"? Jake's already got all of Xanga and most of LiveJournal beat. I doubt many of 8bitjoystick's audience come here expecting high prose and the Queen's English. His subjects and vernacular make it very comfortable to read.
I'm a bit bummed about the "ad[d] more ads". Having over 200MB of blogs and roughly 100 readers a day, I understand bandwidth and the hopes of a supplemental income. Maybe a sidebar or small banner ad such as GoogleAds won't be too intrusive. If I see animated GIFs or Flash assaulting the eyeballs, I'll remove "8bitJoystick" from my daily read list.
I look forward to the reviews. Owning a DVD recorder, I burn missed episodes for my in-laws, and use three DVD-RW more heavily than I do my 40GB Tivo. Once you own a DVD recorder, it's sort of like a car: you can always use public transportation, but it's more convenient to drive.
Great website, Jake. Please don't kill us with the ads. :P

He was just ribbing me on a typo.
I am going to add either a banner ad or a tower ad but I will never use Flash ads, popup or super annoying crap like that.

It might be outside your charter, but how about a gaming enabler post? I'm thinking of something that would tell me as a gaming neophyte what I should try first. PC? Mac? Console? Portable? Which one? What one or two games are the "crack" that would suck me into a lifelong addiction within five minutes of starting them? Ideally this would include a list of everything I'd need to buy with a minimal outlay of cash. Maybe different kits for different initial investments? $50? $100? $200? $500?

@Ken: I'm the last person to critisize typos on the internet (I remember at least the good olde netiquette - sometimes).
Here I just couldn't resist - wasn't meant seriously.

Personally I feel that you Jake should try everyway to get a little compensation for your work. If ads is that way, do it.
