Now I just want to go publicly on the record that BBQ loves his fighting games. He has played them for a long time, he plays them often and he plays them well.
But there is more to tell.
You see BBQ has a strong distaste and aversion to 3d Fighting games. He just does not seem to get into most 3d fighting games with the exception of three games.
Now here is a brief list of the 3d fighting games that we have tried but BBQ was just not interested after a couple rounds in the 3d squared circle with Jake the 3d terror.
I also wanted to mention the music games that BBQ rules at. Only a fool would think that he could be defeated at Bust a Groove.
I know the BBQ is the owner of a copy of Virtua Fighter 4 for PS2 and he has recently threatened to sell it on Ebay. Tisk Tisk. This is probably the best 3d fighting game ever made and if BBQ has the balls to learn to appreciate it for the work of art that it is and can beat me like a little girl at it I will publicly retract this statement and forever change my view of his 3d fightatude.

Them's fightin' words... :)
I suck at VF4. Well, I can hold my own with Pai but that's about it. Any character that has effective low attacks can kick my ass. Especially that mantis-style guy with the dumb double-arm attack.
And what is it with the reversals? That idea sounds so good in theory, but is anyone actually good enough to see that there's a mid attack coming and perform the mid-reversal? Button-mashing is my only key to victory with most of the characters.
Personally, I can't stand VF. I prefer Tekken. It seems to be the standard that if you like one you don't like the other, though. However, the only 3D fighting game I have been really excited about in a long time is Soul Calibur II!
Jesus Christ. Don't forget that I like to play Battle Arena Toshinden and Godzilla which are both 3D fighting games. I'll come to love VF4 on the day you come to love the movie Signs. Most of these games look great but they have boring characters and control like a one-legged turtle on a frozen pond. Reminds me of the "intuitive" jeep controls on Halo.
Saying I don't have the balls to learn VF4 is like saying I don't have the balls to enter a poop-eating contest where the grand prize is a pile of poop. It has nothing to do with balls, I just have no interest in doing it. Maybe if you have the balls to watch every Will Smith movie back to back you will finally see how wonderful he is and I will retract this statement!
In all honesty there are so many 3D fighting games now and it takes so god damn long to become ANY good at any of them that I don't see the point. I still don't completely understand Soul Calibur even after all these years of playing it. I think a game should be easy to pick up and learn, not take months of WORK. But then I do have the balls to go to my job every day so maybe I'm in the wrong.
When you play virtua fighter, anything else fails, is by far, the best.
i love this game soooooooooo freking much.....
I love Sarah she is the best!!!!!!xD
